Quick question.
I have just watched Once More, with Feeling (aka The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical of Much Crack). This is my first experience of a full episode of a Whedon show, and by and large I enjoyed it very much. Good songs, good acting, good (if weird) plot.
But one thing bugs me: apparently, at some point prior to this episode, Buffy Somers was killed. Her friends brought her back to life, seemingly thinking that she was suffering eternal torment in Hell. In this episode, it is revealed that they pulled her out of Heaven, and that she is very angry at them and still kind of wants to die.
The main question is why anyone would assume that their best friend--especially their global saviour and conqueror of demonic evil best friend--would go to Hell after being brutally killed at the age of about eighteen. I mean, from their expressions, one could tell that not once did the possibility of Buffy's having gone to Heaven cross their mind. And they call themselves her friends.
WHAT THE HELL, WILLOW/TARA/ZANDER/ANTHONY STEWART HEAD/JAMES MARSTERS OF EPIC LOL/WEIRD GIRL WITH RABBIT PHOBIA. WHAT THE HELL.
Also, I see more clearly than before why several of my friends think that this episode is the perfect source for Avatar vidding songs. I saw a world enchaaanteeedd...
