Is there a particular reason why seemingly every time somebody trolls or (clumsily) attempts satire it's assumed that (a) I did it and (b) I was somehow being serious?

It gets to weigh on one's self-esteem after a while.
Also, OP is either an evil genius or a flaming, naive idiot. Or both.
ETA: It makes me think, though. While I don't have any compunctions about being who I am and liking what I do and I don't subscribe to the idea that you can only comment on or have interest in your own experiences specifically or else you JUST DON'T UNDERSTAAAAAND, the fact that I leave myself open for accusations that I'm somehow Doing It* Rong kind of disturbs me. Is there something that I should be doing differently?
