1) Total number of books owned?
OK, here's how i figure. i have 31 books on an average shelf. i have 9.5 shelves. i also have about 7 boxes in the closet/storage of non-circulations. jesamin's got a few of mine, but i think i've got a few of hers too. Estimated total: 450-500. This is assuming that coloring books and journals don't count ( Read more... )

recently saw a bumper sticker that said:

TV is Gooder Than Books - how sad and funny

1) Total number of books owned?
I have so many in storage and only a few at home... but I'd have to estimate about.. 150-175... back in the day I was all about libraries... so I haven't owned as much as I have read.

2) The last book I bought?
Tarot for Your Self by Mary Greer & Complete Book of Tarot Reversals (Gee can you guess my current personal hobbie ;D)

3) The last book I read?
Last two were Embracing Your Inner Critic by Hal & Sidra Stone and
Carrie's Story, An Erotic Novel by Molly Weatherfield

4) 5 books that mean a lot to me?
1.Ryan's Hand by Lelia Meacham = a book I stole in 6 or 7th grade that I never grow tired of reading. 2.I Know Why the Cages Bird Sings by Maya Angelou = read it when I was high school and realized what an amazing writer and person she is in general. 3.Complete Poetry & Selected Prose and Letters of Walt Whitman = at age 15 I fell in love with his words. 4.everything by Shakespeare = need I say more. 5.Goddesses in Everywoman by Jean Shinoda Bolen, MD - a psychiatrist, Jungian analyst that has changed the student of life in me.

5) I don't normally tag... so I thought I'd share this website and I thought you might take an interest of it... you can search for books at libraries without going to the actual library!! Pretty neat I'd say.

hopefully the link works, but if you go to yahoo.com and put a book's title in the first line and add 'book' at the end (for example: "ryan's hand book") in the search engine you will get a blue link that says Find in a Library - turns out worldcatlibraries.org is a pretty nifty non-profit organization that has libraries all over the world add their libraries to their database - and it's free to search... well as far as I have used it.
