I am so proud of myself! So far, everything is going quite well. Last night, I got the pies finished: a pumpkin pie, a small apple pie (because I had enough left over crust) and a pumpkin cheesecake (because I had leftover pumpkin pie mixture). I also got the turkey in the brine (w yummy spices), the mashed potatoes made, the dough for the rolls made and put in the fridge, and the sweet potatoes parboiled.
I also got a sore throat and cough. My voice is nearly an octave lower now. I can hit a B. The one an octave lower than Middle C. Yep. Just my luck, huh? I'm just glad I'm not congested and coughing constantly. That would just be the epitome of unfairness.
This morning I got the turkey in the oven (with apples and onion, rosemary, thyme and cinnamon, salt and pepper for aromatics). We went to the park for a little while for some flag football. (yes, Jeremy is now sore - I'm not, because I didn't play - I did throw the ball with David and push him and Alex in the swings though) When we got back I put the ham in with a honeybutter glaze. I just put the sweet potatoes in with all the marshmallows and pecans and will start on the rolls next.
My house smells so good!
