My birthday, let me tell you of it!

My day started off with a strange dream. My siblings and I had been visiting my grandfather in my dream, and we were on our way home when I discovered that my babysister had given her friend my right shoe, so I was left wearing my left shoe - and there was couple of inches of snow on the ground... But it was still kinda warm. Then we headed home and were hanging out on the side of our apartment building, throwing snowballs at the windows and at the wall.

Then for some reason, I was suddently at a hospital because I needed some surgery. And my doctor, some woman, insisted on me having a urinary catheter. I was trying to convince her that 'no, I can go to the bathroom all on my own, thank you very much'. But she mentioned having given me some sort of sedative, and I when I tried to walk towards the bathroom, I slipped. Glaring at her, I pointed out that the floor was wet and therefore it was not because I couldn't get to the bathroom - and I was also pointing towards the janitor who was standing beside me.

After lots of arguments, she somehow managed to strap me down. And of course, this is just the moment when Dr Carson Beckett walks in (I should mention that I was wearing those not-so-flattering-hospital gowns)... -_-'   So, embarassed beyond anything I told him in my dream that no matter how much I love him, this was not right time and would he kindly get the hell out. Did I wake up after that? Hell no, because Simon Tam was the next person to walk in, and I was trying to cover as much as possible with that ugly flimsy gown. *Then* I woke up, thinking 'thank God that I woke up before Dr House had a change to walk in'...

And that's how my day started yesterday. With a really really weird dream about me in a very embarassing and compromising situation and two hot Doctors walking in on me while in that said situation...

Moving on to the rest of the day. Had wonderful lunch with family - oven roasted lamb rocks! Then my aunt came to visit - and she had bought some cake. While enjaying the cake, we noticed that there was a big dark pillar of smoke some way away. Appearently, there was a fire at a car repair shop, not far from where I work. Thus the dark smoke. And since they were fearing that some gas tubes might blow up, they'd cancelled all trains running by in that area - which made it a bit harder for me to get to my friend Anna's house - because we'd planned a movie night (Anna, Malin and I). But thankfully, I could take the subway. Which I did - and it ended up taking me an hour and a half to get to her house. Unfortunatly for Malin, she had to take a bus because of the shutdown of the train-traffic between certain stations. While I might complain of a long trip, it was nothing compared to her. It took her 2½ hours to get to Anna's house. Usually it takes us about the same...

Anyway, back to the movie night. We'd gone for a Heath Ledger-theme (with the exception of Marie Antoinette) and for snacks, it was a cheese and crackers theme. We some regular mild brie, Bavarian blue cheese, some goat cheese, some two sorts of vegan tofu-cheese that Malin brought. We also had an assortment of crackers, some pears, green grapes, physalis(or Cape gooseberries as they're appearently known to some), some dark chocolater that I bought, and some cider to drink.

We started the evening with the emotional Brokeback Mountain, which was followed by the decadent Marie Antionette, and we finished with the silly movie 10 things I hate about you. After we had finsihed with Brokeback, we took a short break before starting with M.A. I went to the bathroom, and when I came back, Malin and Anna were in the kitchen. Popping in the movie, I waited for them to come. Only were when acting all weird and giggling nervously. Turns out that they'd bought be a piece of cake! And I hadn't told them that it was my brithday, nor did I suspect that they knew that it was my birthday. They totally surprised me, because when they first came back from the kitchen, acting weird, my first response was 'What are you both on, and can I have some?'. XD
Anyway, the cake was so fitting, because I had joked about how the only thing we were lacking was some cakes to eat while watching Marie Antoinette.

We didn't call in the night until around 3 am. That's when we started making the sleeping arrangement and brushing out teeth and whatnot. We kept talking to about 4am, and then we were all pretty much knocked out until around 10am. From then on I kept waking up, but the others were still sleeping so I'd go back to sleep - or close my eyes a while and wake up half an hour later. We didn't actually get up until 12:40. Then there was breakfast, thought since we didn't really care to change the channel, we ended up watching a nature show where they were talking about mould, algeas, plankton, wild boars and what fly-poop looks like. Yup, that's the kind of thing you could expect when you've got three people who got to know each other through a series of biology-courses. XD  Then we watched the Swedish version of 'How clean is your house' while discussing how people could let things get so out of hand.

All in all, I didn't get home until around 6:15pm today. Had me some lovely leftovers, follwed by a wonderful warm shower, a nice cup of tea and some of that dark chocolate I bought while watching Mythbusters, and to top off my day, I watched the new Dr Who episode. To sum things up, I had a lovely birthday. :D  And now I'm off to bed, because I've got a long day of work tomorrow. And on Tuesday I've got a really really early appointment with the guidance counsellor about my future options and whether or not I should get a Master's instead of just settling on a Magister(which is somewhere between a Batchlor's degree and a Master's).
