This picture was taken on our last winter camping and snowshoe trip.  We dug deep trenches in the snow to place our tents in to help insulate them and offer some shielding from any winds that occurred.  On snowshoes we trekked in pulling all of our gear on sleds and set up camp near a frozen lake.  It was beautiful out there.
