Two Fawns, A Flower and A Fic

Jun 10, 2012 23:56

I love my prompts, but for some reason, despite copious amounts of backstory, outlines, and notes I've been able to create, I can't seem to get the damn fic started! Okay, that isn't quite true -- I have 3 pages written, but I feel nothing for it and have reached a point where I just haven't a clue what to do! It just won't move. Grrr...!!! It will pass, I know, but I so want to make progress!

I really need my piano! I need to lose myself in playing for an hour or two, and then I'll be able to write, but I don't have that option here.  My sister does have a piano, but when you are playing along with sound of 7 children, it just doesn't have the same affect.

So, while I wait for my brain to unwind I've done other things, hoping that they will help me on my way. Today, I baby sat my nieces and nephews for awhile, spent a lot of time outside (It is unseasonably cool here and that is great!!) and then, when my girls were particularly bored, we painted.

Painting together is something they love to do. Most of the time, we decide what they want to paint and then google it. After they select the image on google, I sketch it out for them while they watch. We pick the colors and prep the watercolors, and then they paint the base coat, carefully. When they are done, they watch while mommy does a little shading/touch up. It is a fun way to play with them and today the results were great!
