Two amazing writers have books out today that you NEED to buy. Really - NEED!! I've already had the privelege of reading both of them and they are both awesome examples of Urban Fantasy and Humor. And two vastly different reads...
First up,
Anton Strout's
Deader Still. This is the second installment in the life of Simon Canderous. The first was
Dead to Me, which is a great read, but in Deader Still Anton has really honed his craft, improving his pacing and telling a great adventure you just can't put down. It even has oubliettes!! For all those Labrynth fans out there, this is a fun treat. Anton's put together a great world that feels real but has a great sense of humor.
The second is
Mark Henry's
Road Trip of the Living Dead which is also Mark's second installment in the Amanda Feral 'biographies', the first being
Happy Hour of the Damned. With unrelenting humor, Mark goes places most people have always wanted to but have never dared. Intelligent socialte zombies, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts... it's a great mix of unexpected twists and turns that will have you spewing your drink through your nose and tear ducts as you try to keep from guffawing too loudly.
