I keep wanting to write JOANNA fic and WINONA fic and also someday finish this fic about Nyota, an away team, and a planet ruled by ladies that I have written like 1500+ words of (i-it was the first Trek fic I started?!) BUT MY HEAD IS ALL AFLUTTER AND I CANNOT GET ANYTHING DONE AND SO I AM SAD.

omg, Death in Winter is TOTALLY fanfic, although I must say it is thus far disappointing me severely in the emotional wallowing department. (I have needs! Ridiculous needs!) BUT, like you, I am willing to forgive so, so much if the endgame is Picard/Crusher, FINALLY. Not that I've waited twenty-one years for Picard and Crusher to hook up for real (or as real as novel canon gets) or anything. (I have.)

Anyway, I def. enjoyed Full Circle and I respect Beyer's efforts to make sense of the ridiculous mess the TNG and crossover writers made of the Voyager crew, and I am grateful to her for actually affording Janeway's passing a modicum of respect, something no other author bothered to do, because Voyager is the unwanted and forgotten child of the Star Trek universe. But my enjoyment of FC and the anticipation I feel for the next Voyager book are tempered by the fact that Peter David is a jerk and Janeway is dead (and never coming back, THANK YOU, PETER DAVID, for rubbing that delightful salt/citrus mixture in while the wound was still fresh; it is much appreciated ( ... )

>:( I couldn't get past the intro of Full Circle and I pretty much had a rage blackout in the bookstore where I was reading it, sadly. I've heard good things about it and I kind of want to try again to read it (it's either that or the Terek Nor DS9 books, I'm still deciding) but it just makes me so upset!
