Hello, people on the internets! How are you? I am okay! I decided to give myself a few days off from writing/the internet on account of I felt as though I were fast approaching the zone of burn-out, which is a place of great sadness and little productivity, and thus understandably unappealing.

Ugh, FUCK PETER DAVID, that is all I can say. It's like everywhere I turn these days, he's there ruining all the things I love. (Things Peter David has destroyed like he's some kind of radioactive monster that has risen from the sea with the sole purpose of annihilating joy: Kathryn Janeway, scans_daily, my love of and respect for his work on "Young Justice.")

Anyway, I def. enjoyed Full Circle and I respect Beyer's efforts to make sense of the ridiculous mess the TNG and crossover writers made of the Voyager crew, and I am grateful to her for actually affording Janeway's passing a modicum of respect, something no other author bothered to do, because Voyager is the unwanted and forgotten child of the Star Trek universe. But my enjoyment of FC and the anticipation I feel for the next Voyager book are tempered by the fact that Peter David is a jerk and Janeway is dead (and never coming back, THANK YOU, PETER DAVID, for rubbing that delightful salt/citrus mixture in while the wound was still fresh; it is much appreciated).

I think I've finally composed a version of this comment that does not consist entirely of me swearing and vowing to destroy Peter David and the editor that allowed him to kill ADMIRAL KATHRYN JANEWAY.* Victory? No. There is no victory here.

*The only decent thing to come of Star Trek: Nemesis.

I hope someone writes it as well! It's kind of weirding me out that so few people are going, "Hey, McCoy is kind of a racist! And that is kind of unacceptable!" (For each instance of "kind of," replace with "totally.")

UGH IKR, I HATE HIM. I can't believe that he ruined all future Voyager books like that and ugh the fact that he obviously hates her/Voyager makes me SO UPSET, WHAT GIVES HIM THE RIGHT (you have to say it like Capt. Robau p.s.) TO DO THAT TO PEOPLE WHO LIKE/D THE SHOW? I DO NOT BLAME YOU FOR THE SWEARING/VOWING TO DESTROY PETER DAVID THOUGH. I cannot see straight whenever I think about it, JANEWAY WAS MY CHILDHOOD HERO, I DRESSED UP AS HER FOR HALLOWEEN WHEN I WAS LIKE 8, he can't just kill her off in a retarded/lame way just because he doesn't like her IN A TNG BOOK.

UGH. I'm still so mad with the guys handling the books for failing to incorporate Janeway (or indeed any Voyager character other than Tuvok and arguably Seven of Nine) into the novel universe in any meaningful role, then fucking killing her off for no real goddamn reason.
