Four more days in NORóCAL then it's back to Riverside I go. I've spent a great deal of my stay in solitude. Don't get me wrong, I'm actually enjoying the isolation. Spending time alone wasn't a luxury I endulged in during the last few months. I'd have to admit I'm pretty indifferent about leaving. I can't honestly say I'm having the time of my life here in San Mateo, nor can I say I'm not overall enjoying myself... but at the same time I can't really say I'm looking forward to or dreading going back to Riverside. Pure indifference.
No matter where I am, the same thoughts weigh heavy on my overanalytical mind. A 427 mile shift in location and I'm still ruminating about the exact same thing.
Speaking of alone time, yesterday evening I started and finished Digital Fortress. Although Dan Brown is undeniable one of the most talented and intellectual authors of his time, I'm beginning to get the feeling that he is, as my brother would put it, a "one trick horse." Even so, I enjoyed the book. So, any recommendations for a new read?
