The downside to having a (temporarily) gimpy husband is that I can't be a slugabed on school mornings when he used to get our son up and dressed for the 7am bus. The upside is that now I get to pick out Theo's clothes, which is fun because he actually puts them on without fighting me, unlike the other child.
This morning, I chose for his ensemble, a long-sleeved camo undershirt, a short-sleeved brown Hurley t-shirt, and Wranglers.
He put it on and was studying his reflection very carefully. Then he goes, "I don't look cool..."
And there was this long pause where I braced myself for a struggle.
But then he said, "I. LOOK. AWESOME."
