Oh, Mei. I so badly wanted Inception to be everyone's perfect guy, which is maybe a ridiculous goal, but there was a time when I was so caught up in it all that I thought maybe it could actually happen :(
On that note, will you please answer the questions for Inception :D
It's okay, bb, I will reach the point one day of being able to be happy with it without being fucked up about it! :D Having this break to poke at other fandoms has been helping that a lot. And I will always love how it makes other people so happy. ♥♥ BE HAPPY.
(1) Eames, hands down :D Who's shocked? (2) Arthur/Eames ♥ (3) Hmmm it's hard to truly dislike anyone from canon because no one but Cobb really got any depth or development. I guess I have to say I'm not a huge fan of Nash for selling Cobb and Arthur out even though, eh, probably a risk of the trade and who knows his motivations, right? (4) okay this one is a bit out of left field, maybe? But I'm not such a fan of Eames/Mal because, what the hell, where did this come from? Did they even know each other before? Why would Mal even be interested in him if she was so happy and in love with Cobb? I just don't get it. D: (5) I LOVE THE IDEA OF EAMES/SAITO AND SORT OF ALSO FISCHER/SAITO. This maybe stems from my love of Eames. I also LOVE that apparently they did a pretty good job in keeping the firearms handling in the movie mostly realistic (which I found out later, obviously, because I wouldn't know this stuff on my own). (6) It really depends on the fic selling it to me but I am not such a huge fan of all-knowing intervening angel absolutely perfect/gorgeous/princess Mal. I'm sure she was wonderful when she wasn't a shade: Cobb loved her, obviously, and Arthur said she was "lovely". But that really doesn't mean to me that Arthur loved her desperately (or even knew her beyond knowing her as Cobb's wife?) or that she was anything more than, well, a normal lovely person. It's very possible I am just tired of all tropes of an outsider watching Arthur & Eames's banter/relationship and being all wise and knowingly smug about it, then patronizingly guiding them together or waiting for them to ~figure it out~. Seriously, do people spend that much time in their lives lording it over my friends' relationships? /gripes a lot

AND HERE HAVE SOME RANDOM RIDICULOUSNESS OKAY.
ILU BB ♥
