You know what I really want to do right now? I want to go out with some friends! But I don't have any friends! They've all left me for spring break. Even Alexis is gone... so sad. We've basically been attached at the hips this last month; I feel incomplete without her. Now I have nothing to do but sit around... and get fat(ter). But no! Now ( Read more... )

How'd this come about? Did your friend have to cajole you into it or did you want to diet? Either way, I hope you find a path that makes you happy :)

And wow, that is impressive! I though I cleaned up pretty good at the local Red Robins last week, but you got me beat. Green tea...smoothie? Intriguing concept.

Oh yes, there was much cajoling and pleading on her part, but it was all to little effect until I finally decided that I partially wanted to myself. Blah, I don't know what I want exactly. I'm working on figuring that out though!

Being the wise sage that I am (yeah, right!) I won't judge you on your decision to diet.....if...it truly is YOUR DECISION. When it comes to weight, gaining, losing, or maintaining,...as in almost all other things in life...you are not going to be truly happy if you give into pressure and do smething that you may not like, and I don't just mean pressure from your friend to lose, but also pressure from us here, who, like me, want to see you delightfully fatten up. Anyway.....enough of that, and NO PRESSURE HERE....just try no to think about that cheesecake, oe Mc Donald's, or donuts, or ice cream, or mac and cheese, or milkshakes, or ( ... )

No, never boring. I love your long posts! Dieting will slow down my metabolism? Really? I've discovered that I actually have a fast metabolism. I am and have always been a hearty eater: I have to eat a lot just to maintain my bodyweight. I have to eat a ton to gain weight ( ... )

Sounds like you had a great lunch. How much weight have you and Alexis decided to try to lose? Is she bigger than you? Are you two competing to lose the most weight? Please keep us posted, especially to see if she kept to her diet over her spring break.

No, she's not bigger than me. Taller, yes; but smaller in other ways. Um, I don't know, we never really specified; we just said we should start with 10 and go from there. And no, we're not competing. We really just agreed to go on a diet toghether, without setting many goals or describing the way in which we will be dieting... The whole thing sounds like it was sort of doomed from the start.

Oh, and no, I can already tell you that no, she definitely hasn't. I'll expand upon that more in another post.
