"We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."
- Martin Luther King
why "garment"? but he's still a good guy
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us"
- R. W. Emerson.
transendentalists rock my world, i wish i had that much devotion to a principle, then again, i'm glad i can consider myself openminded and therefore directionless
"And so I say to any man or woman, let your soul stand cool and composed before a million universes"
- Walt Whitman
i'm not gonna try and say i understand this, i just like the image, it puts everything in proportion
"We are the makers of the music and we are the dreamers of the dream."
- Willy Wonka
let's just say that as a child i was deffinately afraid of willy wonka and the chocolate factory, i mean the blueberry girl basically explodes! regardless, this is very motivational, and the only reason it's not cheesey is 'cause willy said it.
"Physical concepts are free creations of the human mind, and are not, however it may seem, uniquely determined by the external world."
- Albert Einstein
again, i just like this, i'm not in the mood to "define" it or any of that 'cause it's the questions that it causes you to ask which are important not the answers i may give you to the questions i have asked myself.
ps - lex, this is what a journal looks like. i mean this as encouragement not mockery. good luck with that, i don't know HOW i could help you now.
