I hereby announce that I condemn CI YAOI - http://community.livejournal.com/ci_yaoi - for what they are doing. They steal download links and files from scanlation groups, post and reshare the files without permission from the groups. They have no respect whatsoever to the people who buy the books, scan and translate those projects.
I condemn them and I won't have anything to do with them. I don't tolerate such actions. I hereby state that I am not a member of CI YAOI community and I will never steal from any scanlation groups without permission.

It's truly a shame that such things occur. To know that there are others out there so willing to profess their enjoyment of stealing from others is beyond profound. It's unfortunate to everyone else that such selfish people exist. I understand that there are those without access to certain groups and thus, feel they have no other way of getting their fixes other than relying on such people, but I just hope they know that by relying on such crude, disrespectful and jackassery people, the scanlation teams will only further shut people out and tighten their reigns. It helps absolutely no one what this community is doing and I hope people recognize and understand this.
I'm not outraged by this, just disappointed. Let's hope a little bit of decency can come out of this and those involved will realize the errors of their ways. Hate and rage won't resolve anything, so getting stirred up and trying to find a way to fire back at them isn't the solution. I'm sure we can find another way to resolve this, so as fans of the hard work all these scanlation teams put into their releases, let's work together to figure it out peacefully.
