These are the last two items I bought yesterday.
Let me back track to tell you more about our day. I got up before both Jeff and Audrey and went for my 3 mile walk (3-day streak, yes!!!). Then, Audrey and I got ready to go to Gramma & Papa's house for Wet 'n' Wild Wednesday! Gramma has invited us over to practice swimming in her pool. We left at 9 but got in to San Gabriel early so we went to Target to get some sunscreen and I bought Audrey some special floaties, similar to what Evelyn has. Evelyn's floaties have a starfish on them so Audrey found a floatie with starfish and got that for herself (monkey see, monkey do)
At Gramma's, we went swimming right away. We all swam and swam for a long time. Eventually, Evelyn got out, followed by Gramma. Then I got out. Jennifer and Audrey remained in the pool, putting Audrey's swim time up to about 1 hour. Wow! I was so impressed with how BRAVE and CONFIDENT she was to be in the pool. She got so excited when she realized she didn't have to cling to me and could easily just swim by herself. Gramma helped her with some basic swim skills and Audrey figured out how to get her legs behind her in the swimming position. Here are some photos and video I snapped after I got out of the pool (you can see she is still having so much fun!):

After we all got out of the pool, Audrey & Evelyn played together. I loved watching them play the piano together. Here are a few videos:

Such precious moments. :)
We left around 1pm and Audrey slept for only 30 minutes in the car (*grumble*) so we got on with our day. We went to Kohl's so I could get new underwear. TMI: It has been waaaaaay too long since I last bought new underwear. Santa usually brings me some at Christmas but I guess he keeps forgetting?
After Kohl's we headed over to the Claremont Village to rent some videos at 1/2 price (excellent!). On the way, Audrey had said she was hungry. She didn't have a snack today because we were swimming and lunch had been big but early so she was due. So I told her I'd get her something after the video store.
I asked, "Do you want a butter croissant from Starbucks or a fruit snack from Jamba Juice?" She was quiet for a minute and then said, "No, Mommy" (which has become a phrase I LOATHE....) but then she continued "I want Pirate Booty. Remember I said I would have Pirate Booty at Jamba Juice? Remember?" Sure enough, the last time we were there, which was on Sunday (so not that long ago), she got a juice drink. I gave her the choice of juice drink or snack and she picked drink. But she told us that next time she would get the snack and for the snack she would get Pirate Booty.
This child never. forgets.
It's insane how well she remembers things! She even announced the other day when I was getting her dressed in an outfit, "I got this outfit at Kohl's!" That was like last summer and she STILL remembers! I think this is a good thing. She's a lot like her parents who remember lots of random bits of information (movie quotes, Simpsons quotes, Beatles facts, etc.). I hope she keeps it up and retains important information to help her with her schooling!
So anyway, to tie it back to the top... I bought her Pirate Booty and the "Amazing Greens" juice smoothie for us to share.
