Recap of our Anniversary Day Trip to Santa Barbara:
We arrived in Santa Barbara around 1pm. First stop,
La Super Rica Taqueria! Jeff loves this place SO much! We waited for about 45 minutes to place our order. Jeff got La Super Rica Especial and I got three different types of tacos (could have stopped at just 2 - gave most of my 3rd to Jeff).

Next, we decided to check out the Santa Barbara Zoo. This was one site we didn't check out last year during our Santa Barbara trip. It was funny trying to get there. When we exited the freeway, we kept following the signs but then the signs disappeared and we found ourselves at the beach. Jeff was worried he needed to turn around and back track, that he'd missed a sign. But just then, I look out my window and say, "The zoo is over there - I see a giraffe." That made us both laugh :)
The zoo was pretty cute. I liked the elephants and the giraffes the best. There was a baby giraffe out, which was cute. The zoo also had a bunch of cute play areas for kids. Jeff and I often talk about taking the baby with us to some of our favorite places to visit so this zoo was added to our list.

After the zoo, it was still mid-afternoon. I was getting a little tired of walking so we decided to drive up the coast a little bit. We found a park that overlooked the ocean and sat there for a little bit. We talked about our past 6 years of marriage and how our life together will change once the baby arrives. I love conversations like these with my husband - we are always very honest and open with each other and respect eachother's thoughts and feelings.
While we were sitting there, I got a text message from Tiff that baby Culver had arrived via C-section! Roy Milton "Miles" Culver IV was born on May 21, 2011 to our good friends Roy and Sara! I'm so excited for them and can't wait to hear more about their experience. Sara has been a great pre-pregnancy and pregnancy buddy this past year or so. She gave me lots of tips once I got pregnant so I'm sure she'll have tips on the labor and delivery as well.

Around 5:30 or so, we decided to get some dinner (since we would still need to drive about 2 hours back home). We ate at the restaurant we ate at our first night in Santa Barbara last year -
Moby Dick Restaurant on Stearns Wharf. Jeff got the crab legs and I got some shrimp scampi. We had a window view and could watch the waves and the sun slowly set.
After dinner, we walked on the pier for a little bit just enjoying the view and eachother's company. Then, we headed back home.
It was a lovely day!
