CHARACTER ROSTER LIST and SIGN-UPS

CHARACTER SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN FOR ACTIVATION.
Old entrants re-applying and/or new players, please post your character profiles here, as well as an introductory comic entry on this post.

(Trying to get this place re-organized with the new mods! I'll be taking care of the character roster from now on, though junemermaid will still be handling administrative approval of new characters.)



HOW TO JOIN:

• Comment here with LINK TO A JOURNAL ENTRY that contains a full character sheet of your character and the bio filled out.
  
  
• After junemermaid approves the character entry (to make sure your character follows all the guidelines), you'll be officially added to the roster of playing characters as an inactive member.
  
  
• For participation into the next open round of play, you must submit your 2-4 page introductory comic HERE.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR CHARACTER PROFILE PAGE:

- A full color character sheet with a full body design (front and back if possible) and a facial detail (expressions and front and back are again helpful.)
----- Include any special weapons your character may have.
----- Please make your designs as clear as you can since it’s what your opponent will be going by in order to draw your character.

Fighting style: (a description as best you can of the actual fighting style your character uses so your opponent can accurately draw him or her)

Special skills: (be descriptive, if they have spells they use or special powers, here’s where to get in depth about them) HP and MP are not necessary, nor is technical bits like "casting time" and things. This isn't a number-based RPG, so you don't need to be THAT specific, it won't come into play in the actual game.

Personality: (Again, someone else will be drawing and writing your character, so be as concise but accurate as you can so they can be!)
Extra info: (anything that doesn’t fit in the above but you think is important to know your character)

An email where you can be contacted(optional): Players would preferrably be able to be reachable via email, however if you don't wish to list an e-mail, you don't have to.

Please note: you MUST SUBMIT AN INTRODUCTORY COMIC for your character within ONE MONTH after your character has been approved.
After your comic has been submitted, you will be promoted to Active Member status.

A FEW NOTES:
1) NO MARY SUES PLEASE
Don't make your character so perfect a fighter that there's no chance someone is going to be able to beat you. That is the same as submitting a demi-god character and I will NOT approve it.
REMEMBER this is a COMICS tournament, not a character design tournament. You win by having the better COMIC not by having the better CHARACTER. So having "Miss Perfect Bad Ass Demon Who Will Never Die" doesn't mean that you won't get taken down by "Random Angel Living as a Homeless Dude" when he hits you with a frying pan, if their comic is better they win!
So please, think about creating well rounded characters, not perfect unbeatable characters.

2) ONE CHARACTER ONLY
A demon familiar that houses your character's soul or a twin sister that carries all their weapons are intrinsic to the fighter character (i.e. they can't fight without them) and are NOT ALLOWED. Your character must be able to fight and die alone, no second characters are allowed at this time.

3) K.I.S.S.
This is more a helpful hint for people who haven't really done sequential work much, but it's a good one.
Keep it simple.
Remember whatever you design in your character design you're going to have to draw multiple times, on multiple pages, in multiple angles.
Sure that 300 piece armor and 10 sets of wings looks cool in an illustration, but are you going to want to draw it 40 or 50 times in a row from all different angles?
What makes a great illustration doesn't always make a great comic character so just keep that in mind and hopefully you won't draw yourself into a corner you rue later lol~
