I've been running into stumbling blocks and dead ends all day today on the Internet. Not to meention lying liars who lie. I'm sick of it all.

So LJ comes up and I read the "Sight for sore eyes" prompt and I go off to finish something in the kitchen because I know the sign-in stuff will be there when I get back. Only it's not. In the process of posting my last entry, the electricity blinked off. Only for about 20 seconds but enough to disturb some of the machinery. Then I got a bill from my doctor's office in the mail. Of what use are the signs for pedestrians for crossing streets? I'm talking about the ones that are usually an upraised hand for "Don't Walk" and a pedestrian for "Walk." You know how there's this book about the Earth--Hot, Flat, Crowded? I think I can adapt that to me: hot, fat, cranky. When will this darned summer end? I am ready fo rthe weather to turn.

When my husband told me the clocks were being set forward today--he told me last night--I gawked at him. "But it's not April. It's not even spring!"

Nevertheless, it seems he was right.
