Surgery update

Hubby's surgery went well. His wrist is well wrapped and splinted. His main "jobs" now are to rest and to keep that arm elevated. He's been supplied with various medicines, including an anti-nausea drug he doesn't think he's going to need. He'll go back in ten days to get the stitches out and to get the doctor's evaluation of how well he's

I've only been nauseous from anesthesia once, but people do vary in sensitivity. Not just to anesthesia and pain-killers but also on different occasions. As you may remember, I've had four PRP laser surgeries on my eyes. I had Vicodin for pain relief after every one of them, but only one time did I have nausea (and actually threw up). But I overlapped a Vicodin with some Tylenol a little too close in time so that's what did it then. And hubby did end up taking one of his anti-nausea pills in the wee hours one morning, but he's been okay otherwise.

You have hit it exactly! Hubby and I already grated on each other's nerves on Friday. Of course, he needed to go get some stuff, at three different stores, and I had to squeeze a bank run in. We have different shopping styles. This we knew but only thought about it in terms of in-store shopping. Turns out we don't react the same to bouncing from store to store. He does it all the time. It wears me out. But we discussed it afterwards, and we now know bette than to try that again. At least in the exact same way.
