He was dead tired when he came back that night. Instead of the warm home with lights on and prepared dinner, Yunho came to a completely empty, dark and cold apartment. There was no sign of his roommate and lover of six months, Kim JaeJoong, in the whole flat.
That was probably one of those nights when he was working late. Not that it happened that often. Being an editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine definitely had its perks…like the horde of assistants JaeJoong had following him around. He took advantage of them more often than not, leaving them behind to finish off with the work. However, he was still a man who had to have control over everything. No picture or article was to be published without going trough JaeJoong’s hands first.
Yunho had no idea how the older man did it, having enough time for Yunho and still doing his work as perfectly as ever. No, even better than before, like JaeJoong liked to say. Moreover, he claimed that Yunho was an inspiration for him, one smile from the younger one filled him with energy and so on. Yunho could have never guessed that the other one would turn out to be such a sappy idiot. That though brought a smile to Yunho’s lips.
He crashed on the couch and closed his eyes just for a minute. Those photo shoots and all the travelling he did combined together with his acting lessons were taking their toll on him. A warm dinner and maybe a massage by the other’s skilled hands would have done him good. Too bad JaeJoong wasn’t home…
It had been 7 months since Yunho began working for the other man, 6 months since they started going out and 4 months since Yunho moved in with JaeJoong, the latter insisting on keeping a close eye on Yunho. The younger man still had a hard time believing that this was his life and not just a dream. An extremely busy and a rather crazy dream though.
What happened on last Christmas Eve should have been a pure disaster by all means, but it turned into something very different. And instead of ending up in prison, Yunho ended up in love. Although he definitely wasn’t going to confess anytime soon. As it was, JaeJoong was sappy enough for both of them. They even celebrated their 100th day anniversary, as if they were high school students again. On top of that, JaeJoong made it overly romantic. Not that Yunho wasn’t enjoying it - he just wasn’t going to confess that either.
It was the pain in his arm that woke him up; it also made him realize that he had fallen asleep on the couch. As if thousands of miniature needles were piercing through his right hand - the one he had slept on. Ahh, he hated it when this happened.
He glanced at his wristwatch and it showed 4 AM. The apartment was just as dark and empty as when Yunho had entered it, still no sign of JaeJoong. And there were no missed calls on his phone either. Yunho felt worry seizing him.
Pressing the call button and waiting for the dialing, Yunho was involuntarily holding his breath, only to be greeted by a female voice that informed him this phone was turned off or outside network coverage. Yunho hung up and a curse almost slipped past his lips.
JaeJoong definitely was bad influence.
”Just you wait till I get my hands on you, Kim JaeJoong…” Yunho prayed that he would, the worry now an uncomfortable ball in the pits of his stomach.
* * *
It was some time during the afternoon when JaeJoong returned home. Today was his lucky day. The meeting with the main photographer of their magazine’s modeling agency was cancelled, because the man called in sick. He was exhausted. All he needed was a can of milk and a good sleep. After taking his shoes off, pouring himself a glass of milk and drinking it, he went straight to his bedroom. He dropped groggily on the bed.
Damn Yunho for being so sexually active. Sometimes JaeJoong wondered what he had gotten himself into. He sighed. Housework could wait. A few hours of sleep were his top priority now. Not that Yunho would return anytime soon. The man was still probably somewhere in Kyongju, modeling for the CF.
JaeJoong yawned. The milk had tasted a bit strange. He was starting to drift off to sleep when his phone went off. JaeJoong groaned, while trying to reach for the little device. What the… Changmin?
“Yeoboseyo?”
JaeJoong listened with an intent face to the voice talking on the other side of the line. He was starting to get annoyed.
“Changmin-ah, stop beating around the bush! We both know you didn’t call me for old times’ sake.”
“What? You can’t be serious! … And so, what the hell do you expect me to do?” A look of irritation was now plastered on JaeJoong’s face. He was pacing around when he tripped over his feet and fell to the floor, never letting go of his phone.
“Ghh… yeah, I’m fine. Go on… Why should I? You’ve created this mess by yourself, you shithead.” After some more rambling from the other voice JaeJoong sighted in resignation.
“Ok, ok. When should I be there?” He listened some more. His features were once again transformed from resignation into frustration. “Fuck off. This is too much. I don’t know wh- “
“Damn you. Yes…yes. I understand. And don’t you dare be late. See you there.” JaeJoong shut his phone.
The moment he had seen the caller’s ID, he had known he was in for trouble.
He was frustrated, his deserved rest just slipped right through his fingers. Was this karma? He must have done something terrible in his past life to deserve this.
He called his workplace informing them that he won’t be coming for the next two weeks. JaeJoong was sure that they would cope perfectly without him. His newest assistant Bae Seul Gi was an incredible little thing. He just needed to meet up with her before he left, in order to pass her the information about the new project they were working on.
He started packing his luggage, but suddenly pain coursed through his stomach. Shit. He hurried towards the bathroom, grabbing his phone on the way there. He still had to call Yunho and tell him of his sudden departure.
Oh, fuck.
JaeJoong took his words back. This definitely wasn’t his lucky day. He would have to pass Seul Gi a note for Yunho. He scowled.
Yunho was pacing around impatiently. He felt as if he were to suffocate. He desperately wanted to loosen his necktie, but he knew he could not do that. What was taking them so long? Aish. People were bustling in and out of the room he was standing in front of, making his head spin. This was crazy. Why did they need so many people to get the simplest thing done?
He couldn’t stand the whole madness anymore, so he entered te room where his mother and sister were. He gasped.
„Is this really my baby sister?” Yunho smiled widely. It seemed that whatever they were paying this agency for was worth it.
The agency had organized the whole wedding, from the wedding dress to the smallest detail. His younger sister had turned into the most beautiful bride Yunho had ever seen. She giggled at his comment, her face full of mirth.
„Yunho, you are in the way.” His mother scolded him. „If you are here for a reason, do whatever you have to and get out!”
„Uhm, I just came to tell you that I would be waiting in the main hall of the church.”
„Ok. I’ll come when I’m ready with JiEun. Is JaeJoong here already?” His mom asked.
Yunho’s face turned sour. „No, he has yet to appear.”
„And he hasn’t called you either? Oh, what’s with that face? He’ll come, you know him. Now go! Your sister has to put her dress on.” And with this Yunho was hurriedly chased out of the room.
The church was already filled with guests. He waved at some that he knew, some stopped him to congratulate him on his sister’s marriage, some even asked him when he himself was going to find himself a wife. At this Yunho just smiled awkwardly, saying that he still had time. He looked around for JaeJoong, but the man was nowhere in sight.
Yunho was going to kill him. Especially if he missed his sister’s wedding. He hadn’t heard from the older one for the past two weeks and was starting to get worried. Yunho had calmed down a bit after calling JaeJoong’s office and his secretary informed him that JaeJoong had left the country the previous day because of work. But he could still have called Yunho. Was he mad at him? Yunho was almost ninety-nine per cent sure, he hadn’t done anything to anger the other, but who knows with JaeJoong’s unpredictable personality.
Yunho sighed. He sat on a bench in the front and started biting his lips. George was already standing in front of the altar, waiting for his future wife. After a little while Yunho’s mom came and joined him on the bench. His sister was also going to appear soon.
Suddenly the main gate of the church opened and all heads turned in that direction. Yunho gaped in bewilderment. Instead of his sister, there stood JaeJoong. The man quickly apologized and hurried towards Yunho and his mother. A stupid smile stretched his lips when he stood in front of Yunho. His suit was creased, his hair disheveled, cheeks a bright red and his breathing shallow. It was obvious that Kim JaeJoong had been running.
„Sorry I’m late.” Oh, how much Yunho had missed that voice. It had been only two weeks, but still...
Yunho did his best at looking angry, although he suspected that he had failed miserably. He pulled JaeJoong to sit next to him and whispered furiously.
„Where have you been? Do you have even the slightest idea how worried I was?”
„I’m sorry.” JaeJoong leaned in and kissed Yunho’s cheek. „I will make it up to you tonight.” A perverted smile appeared on his face, JaeJoong’s voice getting huskier, thick with promises.
Yunho gulped chasing the rated images out of his mind. He wasn’t going to give in so easily this time. „You could have called me at least!”
JaeJoong looked away a bit embarrassed.
„Uhm...look...about that...s-something happened to my phone...”
„JaeJoong-ah, spill the beans already!”
„Well, I was going to call you. I was about to do it, really, but then my damn stomach started to hurt and I had diarrhea and I kind of dropped my fucking phone in the toilet. You couldn’t have expected me to-”
„Argh. Spare me the details, I don’t really want to know. You are disgusting somethimes, you know that?”
JaeJoong just grinned like a Cheshire cat.
„But you don’t mind when we are in bed and when I lick my fingers clean of-”
„Shhh, boys the ceremony is starting.” Yunho’s mother shushed them.
Yunho’s sister together with their father entered the church through the portal. JaeJoong leaned in and whispered to Yunho.
“Woah, your sister looks awesome.”
“Yeah, I know.” Yunho smiled proudly and flung one hand around JaeJoong’s shoulders, bringing the other’s body closer to his.
“Yah, Yunho, it is midsummer and I’m dying here from the heat. Do you really have to hug me right now?” JaeJoong threw him an annoyed look.
“Shhh, they are about to say their vows.” Yunho didn’t budge, an amused smile stretching his lips.
JaeJoong returned his attention to the young couple and nearly jumped when Yunho started whispering in his ear again.
“I Jung Yunho, tak-“
“Yah, what are you doing? Why are you repeating George’s vows?” JaeJoong whispered the incredulity obvious in his voice.
“Be quiet! I Jung Yunho, take you Kim JaeJoong to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.”
“You know we can’t get married in Korea, right?” JaeJoong was still somewhat stunned.
“Oh, shut it, Kim JaeJoong.”
“Do you take this man as your rightful husband?” The priest’s voice was loud and clear.
“I do.” JiEun’s voice was shaking a bit from all the excitemen.
Yunho nudged JaeJoong in the ribs.
“Say “I do.”
“Uhh, okay, okay. I do.”
Yunho beamed. He started rummaging for something in his pocket and when he pulled his hand out, there, in his palm lay a wedding ring. JaeJoong’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Yunho…” He was speechless.
“Now give me your hand.” He took JaeJoong’s hand and put the ring on his fourth finger.
“What about you? Do you have another ring?”
“Oh, I already put it on.” Yunho showed him his hand, a matching ring glittering on his ring finger.
“Yah, give it to me! I want to put it on!” Yunho could see the suppressed laughter in JaeJoong’s eyes.
“And you tell me that I am the sappy one.” JaeJoong commented. “By the way, when do I get my kiss?”
“Umm, after the ceremony?”
“Yah, I have to go to a staff meeting after the ceremony.”
“Well, then you’ll just have to wait. It’s your punishment for leaving me all alone for two weeks.”
“Aish… Yunho, you are being mean.”
Yunho just smirked.
Soon the wedding ceremony was over and the guests and relatives started leaving the church. JaeJoong was already up and rushing out with just a simple “I’ll see you tonight.”
“Don’t forget you still have to make it up to me.” Yunho shouted after him, but the man was already out of his sight. He sighed. At least JaeJoong was back home. There was nothing more he could ask for.
He was also about to leave when Bae SeulGi, his best friend, approached him.
“Hey, Yunho. The wedding was awesome. Congratulations for your sister’s marriage.”
“Hey there, and thank you.” Yunho smiled.
“Uhm, look. Two weeks ago the boss gave me a note to pass you down, but I kind of forgot to do it. We had just so much work, when he wasn’t around. So here it is. I’m sorry about that.” She looked embarrassed.
“Don’t worry about it, SeulGi-ah. It’s been hectic for all of us.” He assured her. “Now, go! I know you have to rush to that meeting.”
“Yeah, I’d better go now. See you soon. Oh, and call me for a lunch, when you are around the office.” She waved back at him as she left.
The church was by now empty. Yunho opened the envelope and pulled out the paper sheet. There, in JaeJoong’s almost illegible handwriting was written:
Hey Yunho,
Do you remember Changmin? You’ve met him once at the studio. Well, the idiot ran into some trouble and got cheated out of a lot of money, so he couldn’t pay the models... and he’s asking me for a favor. So I’ll be out of town for two weeks. I know you think that I’d be late for your sister’s wedding, but I won’t. Don’t worry. And if you wonder why I’m so sure - it’s my sixth sense. The same way I knew you weren’t going to hurt me on Christmas Eve and that you were my destined one.
“What a sappy idiot…” Yunho murmured.
So don’t you cheat on me while I’m away. Don’t cheat because I’ll find the bloody bastard and-
Two lines down:
I’ll make it up to you, so don’t worry. Oh, and I couldn’t call you because I dropped my phone and now it doesn’t work.
PS. I Love U
“A sappy idiot indeed, but a lovely one and all mine.” Yunho thought as he also left the already silent church.

A/N: There's not much to be said about this one-shot. It took me more time to finish it than it should have. (But that's because I'm a procrastinator.) It includes some scenes I had in mind, but it's main function is to clarify what had happened with the characters after they spent Christmas Eve together. I hope you've enjoyed reading it.
