A few more wedding details...
So within the past 2 weeks since my last update... things have changed on the wedding front.
On July 13, 14, and 15, we all had a mini vacation to Indianapolis to plan/meet and whatnot. We all included matthew and me, his parents and little sisters, and my dad, stepmom and little sister. The weekend went really, really well! Everyone got along great, which I really didn't have any doubts about. The two families are so similar that it's almost weird... LoL! Anyway!!
After really looking at the calendar, we pretty much realized that august wasn't going to work for us like we were hoping. by the time you get to september, we would have to deal with people being back in school and probably not able to come or whatnot. So now we're looking at July 5th as our first choice, since it's a 3-day weekend cuz of the 4th. That's also a downside to that day because of a lot of people who travel and whatever. So... our other date would be July 12th.
Our colors changed to navy blue and khaki with silver accents. That's not gonna change, so yay for that! LoL!
Tina (matthew's mom) and I have been collecting catering menus from a few bbq restaurants around here cuz that's the direction we're leaning for the reception. yay for bbq's! LoL! we pretty much just want to party rather than have all the formalness.
We've also checked out a few sites to have the reception. At the one, we could have the wedding there too, if we wanted. There's an area that would be quite lovely! LoL! Although, we may still stick with Tina's backyard. Still not sure!
Well... I'm feeling kinda tipsy from my yummy strawberry daiquiri, so I'm gonna get off of here...
I shall keep my loyal readers (who are few and far between! ;-)!) updated as we get more stuff planned.
