No matter how you feel about Obamacare I feel as though it is unconstitutional…and i’ll tell you why.
Every single person MUST purchase health insurance or you will be fined/taxed by the IRS. The federal government does not have the right to force anyone to buy anything.
And no, it’s not like car insurance. Driving is a privilege and car insurance is only madatory for those that own cars and it is for public safety.
People come to the United States from all over the world because of our doctors. We have great doctors and superior healthcare, but what do you think is going to happen when government bureaucracy starts dictating to insurance companies and doctors?
I dont disagree with everything in the bill. It’s nice to know that I can be covered under my parents’ insurance until I’m 26.
I also dont like the manner in which this bill was passed. I can smell the corruption from here. So many deals have been given to “buy” votes. Of course, there are always deals being made in Washington, but to do it on a piece of legislation this big is unbelievable. And it really irks me that Obama and Pelosi forced this bill to pass KNOWING that the majority of citizens are against it. Doesnt really sound like Democracy to me. I mean, Nancy Pelosi’s approval rating is 11% lol.
This bill will cost over 2 TRILLION dollars! Can you even picture a number that large? I just cant imagine how anyone could think this is a good plan when our country is already billions of dollars in debt. There’s no such thing as a free lunch folks! The money will come from our pockets….all of our pockets….our grandchildrens' pockets.
And like John McCain just said it’s not a choice between Obamacare and nothing…the republicans had many ideas to help lower costs and reform healthcare too. I thought that they should’ve started over, but the bill got forced through and left a lot of people angry.
Also, as i’m pro-life im pretty freakin pissed that my tax dollars will inevitably be used to fund abortions. If there is 1 thing I will get angry and in your face about it is abortion. I wont go on about my feelings about that right now. I know Obama signed the executive order, but even Stupak admitted that it doesnt really hold much weight! A executive order cannot overturn legislation.
Why does the healthcare program have to change right now? What’s the rush? It needed reform, but wouldnt it have been a better idea to take time and make sure that we got it right instead of forcing it through when so many people were against it? Healthcare accounts for 1/6 of our economy people!
I just needed to get this out.
trillions,
obama,
