Buying a House!
We have found a house that we love! It is really nice with a pretty big front yard and back yard. It has a pool and spa and a couple of apricot and plum trees. It is right between my work and Tyler's and right in the middle of town; close to the airport and the strip, pretty much everything! It will cut my commute from 50 miles roundtrip to 10 miles roundtrip. I have been busily trying to meeting with mortgage officers to try and find the best loan and get our pre-approval so we can make an offer before leaving for NC this weekend.
There are a couple concerns, though. I have had a couple people tell me that the schools in that area are not very good. I looked on the internet and it appears to be true. I wasn't too worried about it though, because it will be at least 6 years until our first kid starts school and we might not be living there anymore anyway. My mom thinks that it will be an issue for re-sale though. Then again, what if we decide that we don't want to move.
The other concern is that a couple people have told me that the market is going to keep depreciating through the end of the year. I don't want to buy if the market is going to keep going down. But then again, Tyler and I both love this house! Plus, I am sick of the commute and ready for a house!
