I have to say that this is the best patch, yet. They handily solved a few problems with elegant solutions and then reward players for using those solutions. Lowbies are in for a treat, as finding groups will actually not be such a pain in the ass and we can hear fewer excuses from strangers who beg to be walked through instances for free. On the other hand, I love running my friends through dungeons.
I am really liking how they're separating PvP from PvE and that they've come out of the closet and said that modding for PvP was a mistake. Very nice. It's good to have someone admit it. Having a hunter as my "main", I can relate easily to getting the PvE nerf-bat for some folks whining about PvP.
Ah. There is so much about this patch I like. I've even been through the first wing of the new instance and it's actually pretty neat. It's a tad chaotic at first, especially when I like to strategize and I was in a group with a couple of folks who had the "just go lol" mentality, but I really liked it. The Devourer of Souls was awesome and creepy. We only started wiping on the next instance in the series because it took a little more than tank-n-spank not to die horribly.
Dude, if you are thinking about playing, it might be a good time to jump in with both feet.
