Another Rant on Movies versus Books
I want to embrace the movie more! I really do.
I find myself sometimes thinking McCaffrey is just a control freak who could have had a dragon movie 20 years ago if she'd just let go some.
Then I watched "Eragon". Admittedly, I liked parts of the movie. And, if you never read the book, and you were not expecting much, the movie would be just fine. I was warned about changes, I knew there would be things. I just always wonder why?? Why if you have a world with dragons would you need to disappear the dwarves and elves? Why turn the Elf race into plains Indians?
