"How long have you been seventeen...Awhile"

Yesterday, when I tried to post my original opinion, my blog provider conked out on me, and lost it all, so this is the condensed version. Now, I really enjoy it. At first I was filled with equal parts of excitement, and criticism, as I listen to some people disdainfully call it cheesy. Then I thought to myself, we're talking about "Twilight," a book thats cheesy in all the right ways. We're just not used to people acting out the melodrama in real life. But I for one think that they are doing an excellent job! At this point I really am a bit concerned for the action sequences, as some times the Cullen's tend to look like monkeys leaping about as they prepare for battle. Nevertheless, I am open, and of course going to see the full picture before making any judgments. The one thing, though, that I think will not dissapoint us, is the romance. They have gone above and beyond to make it not just any old teenage melodrama. They continued through its production to keep focus on the love story, but also its complexity, as it is a story about a vampire falling for a mortal. The teaser was just that: A tease, and I wish they wouldn't have cut the kiss (or almost kiss scene) so short! But, I am waiting for more... DO YOU HEAR THAT LARRY? Lets start cranking it out!

The next awesome bit about this week is:

I think this is an awesome movie poster.  People keep mention the awkward position Edward's in, but I think it has its flare. Its quite gorgeous. Bella mantains a look of innocence while still showing great depth and character, while Edward maintains his look as a vampire, watching over her. Its intriguing, and reminds me of the Twilight cover, a bit. AWESOME!

Now on to the Promo pic:

I love, love, LOVE, this promo pic. People have harped on and on about how photoshopped it looks, and at first I did think it was a bit much, but I also hold the opinion of No More Marbles, when she says, what movie doesn't do that? Then some people harped about how Edward looks weird, because he looks a bit scary, and its not how they pictured him; That he should be hotter. All sorts of foolishness. And the whole time while reading their comments, I am screaming, He's a vampire, not just Romeo, or a pretty boy. And I think the the edge makes him even more sexy. Its that Good girls fall for  'bad guy's" thing. It seems people keep overlooking the fact that as much as he loves Bella, and would never hurt her, he's also a predator.

This has been my rant. I am so excited about this. There are no words. Oh, and check out No More Marbles' reaction for the His Golden Eyes [dot] com webcast, its always great!
