Truly Living

Truly Living

It’s finally my time to shine,
Like orange patches glistening with drops of dew in the sun.
I am off on my journey,
my odyssey.

I want to cruise the far reaches of life’s inner depths, never falling
into the abyss of loneliness;
never sailing the seas that wash unaccomplished dreams unto its shore.
I want to experience.

I want to swim deeply within the waters of beauty,
Feeling tides of euphoric muse flow upon my heart.
I want to live life having only one moment to fulfill destiny,

I want to see with an eye that is illuminated,
Seeing and grasping the deeper beauty of life.
I want to grasp the rushed perfection of the city’s tremor, feeling precious
Energy as an uncharged battery.

Life is so short, blowing by with the awesome abruptness of time.

There will be no declarations that are not married to its soul mate: Action
God is calling me to experience the infinite wonder of the world: Life.
Calling me to drink from His cup of righteousness;
to satiate my hunger with His bread of wisdom,
to season my meat with the salt of love, which preserves all things.
With this essential meal, life will span the decades.

I am a youthful bud,
just beginning to blossom
something more than what I seem.
To the unpolished eye, I am but a rose withering in cool winds of winter.
To the eye that captures life, I am a rose bursting with rich colors
My fragrance coating the air like morning dew coats burgeoning vegetation.
