This is just a rant about the latest Rob news.
So, he deleted his music myspace page. I'm so disheartened about it. It just means that we as fans have gone overboard. Sure, as a fan, I am beyond thrilled to know that he performs, and was splendidly surprised to find out his voice is so bluesy and raw. I found out about it when it was dormant so it wasnt getting a lot of play then. The people who had it up were trying their whole hearted best to keep it underwraps (as if that were even possible). At first, I didnt understand the secrecy, as it was placed on the internet by him anyway. But now I know why. I, however, wouldnt dare friend him. I have a number of rob pic's on my page and wouldnt want to scare him, lol.
When it finally got out to the rest of the twilight world, it was like, crazy. And then the Lexicon, and Twilight Moms got a hold of it. Usually, I really love what they do, and the things they uncover, but this time I do admit,I was a bit uncomfortable by it, but at least the Lex checked with his people. Even then, he deleted everything.
This is so saddening because I know he must be weirded out by us Twilight fans now. It seems like such an invasion of privacy, not to mention, people have been trashing it too, which is really horrible. Go over to youtube to watch NoMoreMarbles' video addressing the matter cuz it was very good. When a person engages in their passion, especially artistically, its as if a part of their soul is being showcased for everyone to see. And when people say horrible things about it, just think of how he might feel if he ever came across the comments? Its such a catch twenty two, cuz, as a fan you want to know that if you see them walking down the street, you can run up and meet them. But, as a human being, would you want random people coming up to you, squeeling, and yelling? It's different if its at a premiere or during an event where they have mentally prepared themselves for it. But not when they are just having some down time, eating lunch or something like that. Afterall, they're just people, like everyone else.
I would love it if Rob came out with an album. I actually have the songs on my ipod. What can I say, i have been corrupted by the internet, lol. Nevertheless, I hope he doesnt classify all the fans as nosy plonkers. He doesnt seem the type to love all this attention he's been getting. I just hope that we learn our boundaries as fans, cuz one day he might grow to despise us, and I would hate that, lol.
