Dodgers Clinch the NL West Title!!!
It's official -- the Dodgers are the 2008 NL West Division champions!!! Arizona oh-so kindly lost their day game in St. Louis today to allow the Dodgers to clinch the division before they even have to play tonight. That's probably a good thing since they're facing Jake Peavy, although I think they should go out and beat him for once just to cap off their victory celebration which will undoubtedly take place after the game tonight. I'm so excited, this is fantastic! And even better cuz I already have tickets to all possible NLDS and NLCS games at Dodger Stadium, so I hope they go far and do well!!! It feels good to be back in the postseason, especially as division champs and not just the hard-luck wild card winners. Granted, they only have a .525 record right now, but that's all it takes to win the division this year. And now that they're in, the overall record doesn't matter anymore -- they just have to play up to their full potential in each and every game of the postseason and they can go all the way!
