YOU
Across my vision you came
as a ray of sunlight through the clouds
light of heart - love in your eyes -
strength would yield to you.
Heavens opened that were closed,
shining splendidly down on me;
re-awakening that which had died in me,
desire re-fuelled.
Wish of wishes from beginning of beginnings
poured into my heart with force irresistable:
dreams that from my youth I dreamed
coming close to me
Promise as I dare not dream of
in your eyes: yes, it was then
desire to know your love
entered my thoughts.
Fulfilling life and nature,
fulfilling them completely:
wide boundries of the world shrunk
to one sheiling.
Our minds entwined together
in silent happiness: no need for words
between us; torrents of love
drowning reason.
My soul at rest, calm, satisfied,
in my mind's eye since you came -
You: and heart's defenses crumbling
at your smile.
