That earthquake in Japan scared me to bits last night. I was procrastinating about my med term test on endocrine system, and I found about it when someone tweeted about it around midnight. At first, I just assume it was some really small quake, but it was actually around 8.4 magnitude? WHOAAAA. And then I watched the news with those epic tsunamis around Miyagi and everything started to be flooded, including Tokyo Disneyland (it's a misnomer but I've been there once). Now some other places have landslides and avalanches. BUT OOOOMG people in Tohoku/northeast area!? I've always wanted to go to Sendai...;w;
Thank God all my friends and relatives don't live in any of the affected area.
Actually, 2 school districts on the coast of Washington state was closed today for tsunami warning today. Oregon and California had it much worse, but thank God it wasn't too bad.
But beside all that, my mom and I are still going to Tokyo for spring break, which is almost 2 weeks after the earthquake, well, unless Delta cancels the flight and gives back our money anyways. It's advised for people to avoid going to Japan for a few weeks, but if we can't get refunds for our plane tickets, we're most definitely going. I think it'll be safe in 2 weeks somehow. Now that I think about it, it was perfect timing.../wonders
