Stargate: Atlantis: Season 2, eps 1-4

I find myself less annoyed non-stop with Sheppard and McKay than I was with large parts of the first season so far.  Then again, there's a new character I find myself hating enough to compensate.  (I swear, if the Daedalus commander/new co-leader makes another patronizing insult of Elizabeth and gets away with it...you know, when people talked to ( Read more... )

Sweet, sweet Atlantis hate. I hated the Ford story; couldn't they write him off in a better way? It would be hard to think of a worse one.

The only thing you have to look forward to is 'The Long Goodbye' where Elizabeth pwns everyone.

I just can't believe they're making the Ford story so blatantly "young angry black man on drugs." I mean, WTF? You could write him going rogue in a way that doesn't feed some of the worst stereotypes out there, you know...

I don't mind Ronan. He gets away with disregarding the rules mainly because they don't really apply to him. If I remember correctly he tends to treat Teyla like more of an equal than the rest of the crew.

Yes. Ronon (int hese 2 eps at least) works better than the others because he's completely genderblind in how he treats people. He gives Sheppard and Eizabeth token respect because he acknowledges their authority, and treats Teyla as an equal, and realizes when he stepped over the "Fair fight" line with her and makes amends.

Cadman only has one more episode, so love her while you can. Kate has... a few more than that, so love her, too.

Dude, the Daedelus dude never stops being obnoxious. He tries flirting, too. Sigh.

AND MAJOR LORNE IS OK TO LIKE.

Although, he suffers from the same thing all men there do: that being, too many men.

*sigh*

Why don't they let them stay longer than that.

Oh, ugh...he tries flirting with Elizabeth? The obnoxious general in The Siege did the same. That also made me hate him more.

I have 3 males I will cheerfully exchange for Lorne. He reminds me of Jonas, though I can't put my finger on why.

Are they women? Yes. Answer given.

Colonel Skinner is a flirt. Sometimes. It's kinda sad. :/

Lorne is... Lorne is a nice boy. I would happily watch a show that was nothing but Lorne and Teyla with Liz in command.

Yes. Lorne is nice and long suffering. And puts on a brave front. Just look at how tolerant he was while babysitting McKay...
