xXxHolic Vol 9
Hmmm...well, I think this volume rather spoiled the whole cloning situation I've been teased with for Tsubasa. Pity. Not all of it, at least. Though, I must ask: Should I hold off on reading more xXxHolic until I get caught up with the US releases of Tsubasa?
I loved the focus early in the volume on dreams and dream trading, as well as what seems to be the never ending story of the fox spirit kid...does he ever just disappear, or does Watanuki's being nice to him always come back to save his butt? I have to wonder though: was the dream monster always composed of giant eyes, or did it become an eye monster sfter Watanuki took it from Himawari? (And when will we ever find out what the deal is with Himawari that Yuuko is always hinting at?)
And how weird was it to see Domeki's face being cheerful and smiling? *mildly freaked*
Then there's the little girl psychic. That was amazingly sweet, but considering that the book crosses over with Tsubasa, I am now rather concerned that Kohane's name is spelled using the characters for "small feathers." Clamp, please don't stomp on Watanuki's heart any more than you already have. Thank you.
I felt like Watanuki did during that Mahjong game though. Actually, I was probably even more lost than he was.
Anyway, seriously...can I safely read Vol 10 and any others that come out while I slowly but surely catch up with Tsubasa, or do i need to focus on getting caught up with Tsubasa before reading more xxxHolic?
