just a plain old update

What a boring week I have had. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. At least nothing has gone wrong.

I went to see a friend of mine Tuesday and she gave me exciting news but since I don't know if she wants anyone to know, I will have to keep it to myself (and no, people, it's not about Leanne).

Yesterday I went to Target and spent less than $10.00. I think that's a record. I bought some sippy cups and a pair of sheep socks. Wow. Then Grace and I went to a store called Children's Orchard (http://www.childorch.com/). They are all over the place and are great. It's resale clothes and toys. I got a brand new Care Bear (Grace's new obsession, or should I say mine...thanks Barry), a practically brand new pair of shoes and the cutest watermelon outfit for, like, $12.00. They had a ton of toys and some really fabulous clothes. If there's one near you, check it out...it's worth it.

Grace is finally walking, not that I'm in a huge rush for her to begin that milestone. She is a good girl but very, very BUSY. I can only imagine what it will be like when she's really on the move. She's taking steps and can really move when she holds onto my finger for support. She rocks. I swear, it seems like I brought her home from the hospital just last month. Where does the time go?

Jeff wasn't home last night. He went out to dinner with some of his bosses and stayed up in a hotel by his work so he wouldn't have to drive home just to go to bed and get up to drive back. It's just not the same without him here. I love having more room in the bed but I don't sleep as well. However, I did get to see a good HBO doc called "My Flesh and Blood" on On Demand. Anyway, I am still worried about him...he still seems depressed. I think that if was doing better at the job he would feel better but since he's not, he feels like he's failing himself/me/Grace somehow. I wish he knew that I honestly don't care about the money (although it is nice, I won't lie) but what really matters is us and our relationship, being happy and raising Grace. I love him so much. think it's pretty cool that even after all this time and after all the bullshit I still am in love with him, and vice versa. He's my bestest friend.

No real exciting plans for the weekend. Jeff and I are gonna open the pool and he is going up to his parents house with Grace on Sunday. I get the "day off". WooHoo. Best of all, I will be seeing Miss Leanne and her her darling daughter, Miss Avery. I don't know what we will do but I am sure it will be funfunfun.

Off to get dressed. Hope everyone is doing well. :)

grace, friends, shopping, jeff
