The Clean-up
So I have registered with Volunteering QLD for the clean-up as well as with Ex-PM Kevin Rudds office for the Southside Clean-Up.
My dad- who works for our local council- has been called upon to head into Jindalee tomorrow to cleanup- He operates excavators and other heavy machinery- so hes gonna be busy all weekend with the clean up efforts as well.
Its amazing to see the amount of muck and mud around all the houses and the amount of mess thats hitting our precious moreton bay at the moment- took some pics today and will do some comparison pics- its kinda crazy how the colour changes so rapidly!
Still- the fact there have been staggering numbers of people willing to Volunteer and the fact the clean up is happening so quickly demostrates true aussie mateship.
I Love my country, my state, my city...my brisbane :)
I hope all my other mates down south are safe.....saramundin Ballarat, and all those Tassie peeps!!!
