As the people in my life often do, ZD inspired me yesterday.  R encourages, pushes me to write daily, but yesterday ZD made a comment that echoed:

It also inspires me to write every detail, every accented story, even when it's just a simple day to yourself, with your corona and MTV.

you sounds so much like your mom in your little asides ("thank you God for my house still standing - I'm always convinced it will be burned to the ground by the time I get home") .... thrills me to recognize it!

What emanates from this entry is peace, gratitude, and love... it's wonderful, because you have written about disappointments and frustrations, your own and those of others, yet in every line I am lifted up.

What exactly is it about your writing that does this? I think it is you attention to detail, and in recounting those things that get you through YOUR day, you help us get through ours.... Plus, you are such a sympathetic soul, expressing your feelings in such raw terms ("how selfish it is") .... that they feel fresh to us as well, as if we are there alongside you!!
