I'm quite possibly the world's most terrible, horrible, awful blogger. Ever. Most of my updates are only to say that I'm going to update more. And then I don't

BEBE, YOU ARE IN LUCK. Because I totes wrote a serious/slashy Sherlock/John fic AND a ridiculously cracky Sherlock/John-in-a-Beauty and the Beast AU fic. HUZZAH. You can find them both HERE. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Single Father: I watched about 15 minutes a few days ago and haven't gone back to it. I'll probably watch it all, but I am not liking the characters enough to care. Glad to know that I'm not alone

James is so much a blend of the two ADA's his character is based on: both of them were totally driven and ruthless at times. As far as James/Alesha, I'm cautiously shipping them at this point, but I think the show is slowly driving there. I just hope we don't end up with Claire Kincaid's story for Alesha.
I had originally written about how I now saw more McCoy than Stone in James' series three characterisation (as opposed to my previous opinion that he was more Stone than McCoy in the first two series) but the more I thought about it the more I remembered how ruthless Stone really could be at times -- and aloof.
As for the ship, ITA that they're slowly driving there and I also agree re: Alesha and Claire. In fact, I will fully own to catching my breath when I saw her walk into the pub at the end of last week's episode. I kept telling myself 'this is not that episode . . . this is not that episode

Definitely! I think all of the leads on the Order side in the US show had to have both qualities, although I found McCoy a bit "fuzzier" than Stone was. Cutter felt cut from the same cloth--with slight variation.

I know what you mean! When that ep was over, I had to look up the name of Claire's last episode to make sure that the next UK one wasn't based on that one! (It's "Aftershock" btw--you can look out for it if you care to prepare yourself should that happen).
Rupert Graves is always worth watching. ALWAYS.
Also--icons are awesome! I have yet to find a Sherlock one that speaks to me.
