Halloween!
Yay! I finished the vest for my monkey. I've never sewed a piece of clothing in my life before, now I have completed a very small vest for my monkey. The monkey will be worn with my Marion Ravenwood costume for Halloween, for those of you who are confused... "Monkey? She has a monkey? And why does it need a vest?" Haha...well, I'm proud of my 4" x 4" monkey vest. Now I have to figure out a way to create a replica of the Headpiece of the Staff of Ra I can wear around my neck. That would be a finishing touch.
My Costume To-Do List:
- Sew elastic into the legs of the red pants I bought so they gather at the ankles
- Fine tune the burgundy wrap for my waist
- Make Staff of Ra Headpiece replica (anyone have any ideas??)
- Buy cheap, lightweight frying pan
- Find shoes to match
Others' Costume To-Do List:
- Attach white twill tape to a part of Ryan's costume for effect (he has requested his costume stay on the D.L.)
- Cut out and tack down the pockets of Kerry's pants
- Hem Kerry's pants
It looks like I have my work cut out for me!
Also, Kerry, if you need any help with any part of your costume, not just the tailoring, let me know. I can spray paint!! ;)
