Alexandra is woken early one morning by a knock on her door... Visitors are a very rare thing on her lonely island, and for a moment her heart beats faster - but then she remembers.
It's Trisha. She has used the row boat Alexandra hid for her at the beach, and made her way across from one Moon Island to the other.
Without Trent around, things happen very quickly.
Alex hasn't felt like this for a very long time... not since she first met Gabe, when she was very young and foolish. But she also feels conflicted.
Trisha is married. Not only that, but she is very pregnant. Alexandra is the only one who can get her and her family safely off the island... But that is risky business. Trent might alert the authorities to her whereabouts, especially if he ever learned what's going on between her and his wife. Almost more importantly... Does she want them to leave? She wouldn't be sorry to be rid of Trent, but she's grown fond of the kid (Tina reminds her of Jules), and Trisha... How could she part with Trisha?
Up until now, Alex has been perfectly content with only the company of her animals. The wild dogs, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, her ocelot Elaine Marley and her parrot Ahab.
But suddenly, that doesn't seem to be quite enough. She hadn't even realized how much she missed sim company.
Not even the possibility of her wild dog pack growing can make up for that...
And a pirate's life is hard work.
If something were to happen to Alexandra, who would help her? Who would even know?
As much as she loves her four legged companions, none of them would be likely to sail back to Riverblossom Hills to give Jules the message...
