I got a bugfix for ACR2 recently, the bug was making all married sims completely faithful (rejecting all ACR interactions from others), even romance sims. The fix worked, but now even super-jealous family sims can stand right there in the room and watch their spouse ACR-make-out with someone else, and not care... The second they initiate non-ACR ( Read more... )

I had the exact same problem, although I didn't know it was a bug. I watched a trio in college do this. It was emily lee, tom freshe and ellen frost from ALT to be exact. Tom kept going back and forth between the two girls, till he was in love with both. Then I thought maybe I needed to change the jealousy settings. They were at the default and I changed it to standard maxis and then Tom started refusing Ellen. I have to admit it was kinda funny, but it would be irritating if that happened all the time.

Hm, I think the default for non-family sims is to only be jealous if they're engaged or married to the sim in question, so that behaviour sounds normal. Also, I think the cheating sim will often try avoiding upsetting someone, so when you changed the jealousy, I guess Tom was trying to preserve his relationship with "the one"? ACR is complicated.

It makes no sense that Cassandra would be totally cool with Don snogging Nina's face off right in front of her, though. D:

I had that with the first version of ACR. I was trying to play out the "mary Sue comes home early from work" scenario in Pleasantview. Daniel was ACR-WooHooing Kaylynn on the sofa, Mary Sue walked in, gave them a glance and went off to make a sandwich. So I made them change to ACR-Woohoo in bed and actually sent Mary Sue into the room after them. She decided she'd rather wash her hair. So I had Daniel relax and invite Kaylynn to relax with him and then initiate regular woohoo. Mary Sue came running from one of the girls' bedrooms upstairs to launch herself at Daniel and kick his ass.

So it's actually a pretty long-standing bug and it carried over from the original ACR.

Hahaha. It is pretty funny when they just... look at them, and then walk off. Cassandra was more interested in washing the dishes and juggling with espresso cups.

I did have this working correctly at one point, though, and not very long ago either. Perhaps it was fixed, and then broken again with this new fix?

Haha, I had to look up who he was. :P I never watched Stargate. ;)

I felt so betrayed! I was all like 'Oh cool, woman scientist! AND she doesn't want kids!' ...But then, it turned out she DID want kids, but was afraid to because her mother was a bitch, so she made herself a mutant instead, and blah blah blah motherhood woman-angst rape-scene.

Don't even get me started on the stupidity of ugly-blob-hybrid-DNA + human DNA = beautiful, immortal demon with superpowers.
