2009 Letter

Sorry if you clicked on last year's letter by accident! I forgot to get this up in time for the sending of the assignments. I'm not very active in lj, so there' hasn't been much since last year's letter anyway.....

Okay, so, WELCOME, yuletide writer! Thanks so much for offering to write something just for me! I promise to enjoy it. :-)
My tastes in writing haven't changed much in the last year, so feel free to compare with my language in the other letter. I still love cleverness and great dialogue. This year I went a little all over the place with my requests, so I understand that you might be limited by the material/genre you're working with. Also I'm good with en, romance, or anything without too much sadness and pain. No qualms about the rating. I guess the one unifying theme in my requests this year is that they're all characters that I love in some way, so any extra scenes that celebrate them or their relationships and friends would be awesome.

As for each request:

Request 1 - This show is definitely the highlight of my week (which is sad, since it means things just go down from Monday...). If you can possibly pull off the hilarity that is this group of characters, I will be in your debt forever.

Request 2 - When my partner and I saw this movie in theaters, we were disappointed by that missing factor. I mean, just one out character? And she's not really even at a secondary-character level? Obviously some of the team had some experiences that need sharing, right...?

Request 3 - Honestly haven't read any fic for this, if there is any even out there. But, it's one of my favorite stories on the "Great White Way" right now. I know you won't be writing any new songs, but surely there are some stories still to be told about el barrio, no? Kudos for giving a cameo to mi comadre Daniela....

Request 4 - This story's been in my head a lot recently because I just finished teaching a huge unit on it. Not sure if they meant the book or the movie. I'm good if you want to work from either. Like I said in my requests, I have a special affection for characters that I wish had gotten more of the spotlight. And, I know it might be odd, but I am now sick of hearing about both Tita and Pedro, and it would be fine with me if neither of them have much of a role in your writing.

Happy writing!
