pretty ironic
my mom asked me to pick up some legal papers today. I went to the man's office around 11ish and he explained wat it was to me. In my hands were the finalized paperwork and copies of my parents divorce. As of today, my parents are officially legally divorced. sad...
jokingly, he said "haha now you can take her out for a drink", as if my parents hated each other. ofcourse i laughed it off and was like haha ya. but DOOD did you not go to school and learn from basic psychology that no good comes from divorce??? especially to the child????? did you not think that as you were talking TO their child? inside I was like "whaaat??? exccuse me??? you think i laugh and joke about my parents separation??? jERk..."
2 hours later, i was at the airport to pick up my dad. I picked up papers that legally breaks my family, only to have all 4 of us under one roof a few hours later. its so push and pull...twisted...a tease....confusing... now its easier to see why i'm so messed up inside.
regardless, right now i'm happy. I just finished eating dinner with the family. all of us at the table, joking around, talking about the past, how my sister and I were born etc... its as if he never left. then ofcourse it leads to singing. you can't avoid it when 3/4 of us are singers. my dad, being a fob n all, bought a nifty new video camera from japan (light and cute). so he busts that out and randomly tapes us just chillin at the table. we end up singing the national anthem as a trio. I think my dad drank a tad too much and couldnt get his notes right. Then we sang IHS's alma mater, cuz appearantly its a famous french song and my dad knew it. that one sounded way better. the point is, it was nice having all 4 of us being silly, making memories, playing family.
now, my sister left temporarily, i'm sitting here typing, and my parents...both of them are downstairs having a conversation. its great to hear the mumbling of their voices.
