Dream Journal: Infinitely Black
There is absolutely nothing but black. Since I seem to be standing on my feet in this blackness, there must be a flat ground beneath me. I can see myself in greenish cotton pajama, more like the kind you wear when you are hospitalized after surgery. I wondered how I'm gonna survive colder season with this half-sleeve pajama but then I am reminded there is no hot or cold here. I have no idea how or when this Blackness came into existence and no idea from when I'm here. Perhaps for a few minutes. Perhaps more, even a few decades may have passed. I've realized I wouldn't age in this Blackness. Once you are here you cannot cease to exist or keep track of time. But it seems distance exists here. You are bound to walk on and on and on and on looking for its end, knowing the Blackness doesn't end.
I see Door in this Blackness. Peeking inside, I see a bedroom, a teddy bear, a desk, drawer, lamp, some junk on the floor... There are a few people coming out from this room. For a few seconds I see a 5-yea-old version of me on the bed. Someone is combing my hair. Perhaps it was my Grandma. A woman and a man (seemingly in their middle age) walk out of this bedroom into the blackness I'm in. It seems they've decided there is something more fulfilling in the Blackness than in their life there. I'm shouting in my mind "Don't come! " They have no idea where this is. There is absolutely nothing here. They don't know the place is endlessly Black and Empty. They don't know even time does not exist.
I see them surrounding a statue. I'm a bit surprised to find something man-made in the Blackness. It was a plastic statue of Phoenix, but one of the people said it's a statue of Pokemon called Fire. I insisted it's a Hinotori (meaning firebird, phoenix) from Osamu Tzuka's manga, Hinotori. But after waking up from this dream and thinking back, I'm pretty sure the statue resembled the firebird from Pokemon. But well, they are both supposed to be Phoenix anyway.
