Gah! So pretty! I think number one might have to replace my current wallpaper and my current wallpaper is this so that's saying something. Tony is totally doing that same look of complete adoration thing in that pic that Alex is doing in your header.

Isn't he just!?! That's precisely why I used that pic - it's one moment when he looks just as madly in love with her as she does with him. His expression is like that of someone just on the verge of realising "oh, wow... I'm completely in love with this woman." (or, in other words, pretty much the same as my face every time I look at Alex/Simone.)

I'm really feeling the Alex/Tony love at the moment (not that I usually don't). I have a really soppily romantic plot bunny hopping around in my head, getting in the way of my next chapter. I sense a drabble coming on...

You know I think my Mac has a choice where it rotates between different wallpapers every so many minutes. That seems the perfect solution. I shall have to try it! Because I too am loathe to stop looking at HBIC Alex but I would dig a little love-gaze Tony mixed in. It would be like he was totally checking out HBIC Alex and loving every moment of it ( ... )

And now I feel very much like trawling through my caps and pics to find a shot of Tony actually gazing at HBIC Alex, and making a wallpaper out of it. He does it often enough.

I know Tony loves Alex but I wonder if he realizes he's in love with herOH YES THIS SO MUCH. This is precisely what I've been contemplating recently; I would go so far as to say Tony probably hasn't ever truly been 'in love' with any of the women he's dated, and as such he most likely isn't able to recognise the full weight and scope of how he feels about Alex. I agree that he has his moments, but most of the time I don't think he quite gets the magnitude of how he feels. I also tend to think that he was quite clued in early on - he knew he liked her (or had the potential to like her), hence the whole "I want to be with Carol. Or you", and also the way he got so hurt when Jonathon said he's "not the stuff her dreams are made of." But at that stage Alex herself hadn't come to terms with how she felt; she was only just beginning to see him as someone she ( ... )

But I'm on the last episode of season 3. and I'm super not ready to say goodbye to DCI Carol Jordan.

I know how much you like Alex Fielding. So I'm sure I'll end up loving her, but for now I'm getting super sad that this is my last episode with Carol.

I'm sure it's doubly worse, watching the last ep when you know it's Carol's last one! It's pretty heartbreaking stuff. Poor Tony!

But you will love Alex, I'm sure. She's all kinds of wonderful.

You are so correct, the Paula/Alex porn does practically write itself! And here I thought it was just my pervy brain!

Your pretty please face has worked! A cookie icon shall be yours! It may be a bit before I get the icons done because I am futzing with a fanmix and fic too but whenever I get icons posted, if you don't see Paula with a cookie, feel free to smack me/defriend me/give me a Helen glare, whatever.

Every look Paula gives during that stakeout is pretty damn priceless. I have a feeling that I might not be able to stop iconing her once I start.

The DVDs are still in the drawer, so maybe I need a little extra motivation to at least fish them out in preparation for full fandom immersion?

I really have no excuses left not to watch it, do I? I've bought it, it's one of those epic, definitive tv-moment-thingies, it has hot, tough, bamf women and potential femslash all over the place... I have no idea what I'm actually waiting for.

I can absolutely wait for smut. I can't write it to save my life, so I'm completely amazed and appreciative when someone else is able to, especially if they're using characters as hot as Paula and Alex.

Paula really is awesome. And she's so fricking cute!! Speaking of 4.03 (which I think we were, but who really knows in this multiple-thread mess we've got doing on), remember the bit at the start when Alex jokes with her?? And Paula calls her ma'am and gets all scared, and Alex grins and shoots wicked glances at her??? That scene alone convinces me that these two have some very intense porny Bradfield CID corridor potential. And I love the 'ma'am. I just love it.

Damn smutty bunnies. Bane of my existence, they are. So distracting...
