I watched sga 5x04 "daedalus variations" this morning and it put me in the mood to finally watch stargate: continuum - my favourite part was Captain Salty Mitchell! Who I addressed as such when he was on screen alternately as Cap'n Salty Ye Olden Times McMitchell because, dude, that is totally his name. Also: Stargate - not too kind to people from alternate timelines! Also also: this movie pretty much hit every single one of my THIS TIME TRAVEL DOESN'T WORK annoyances and yet I still liked the movie!
I wonder if grizzled!Cam got to go back to the farm and hang out. Look it's gramps long-lost slightly younger brother! What the hell else would he do? His job, after killing Ba'al, would be to sit in a corner and not fuck up the timeline(I want to make a southern continent Pern joke here, but it's been too long since I've read the damn things) but would Cam be smart enough to realise that? If I was him, I would leave a back to the future 2 type note to be delivered after the extraction, all, "hey I was AWESOME and y'all should go to Praxiswhosis and blow up the freakin' TIME MACHINE that Ba'al left sitting there. Don't like, touch it or anything just blow that shit up!"
I liked how Daniel was even more pissy when he lost a leg. Also! he got to say shit! TWICE!
I thought the whole point of F-302's was so that they could fight death gliders as F-16's weren't very effective, but whatever! That was still pretty cool.
what else? ! General Hammond! Oh Don S. Davis! Why did you have you go to the great big sgc in the sky? Landry: I don't know why sg1 would think you would be awesome, sam, don't you remember that episode where he was president and a dick? and the fact that in your universe he is still kind of a dick?
In conclusion: enjoyable! But I kept expecting an sga cameo like it was an episode and kept getting disappointed.
Also! Today while I sat around the house feeling like death warmed up(stupid cold!) I watched an ep of Dark Angel! Oh, season 1! You were the better season and yet your lack of Dark Alec means I can never love you best! and then there was an ep of Roswell with Darla from Angel in it, but it was painful so I had to turn it off.
