My version, original wanted a hell of a lot more sugar!
Measurements are rough, I used a mug in place of a 'cup' and I don't care!! ;p
Generally I go over on the fruit measurements, under on sugar/butter, but work to personal taste.

Syrup = like pancake syrup (sugar + water + maple flavoring or maple syrup as from maple trees)?? Of course it could be corn syrup....

*grins* Mug as in something that a Meep can wrap 2 hands around, lacing the fingers, to absorb the heat when it's cold outside/inside? Or are we talking something that a brawny Welshman would grasp and you'd still be able to see the rim of the mug?

I'm not really a fan of rhubarb, that's my Mom's thing, but as I can't grow it in this area because it's too hot... looking at it as a weed thing that takes up part of the garden, suddenly it's hmmm wish I could get my hands on some.
My parents were very careful telling us kids that the rhubarb plant was poisonous until you'd stripped it of leaves and outside skin of the stalks. Needless to say, skeptical kid, we all looked at them with 'and then why are we growing it and why are you making some for dessert?'

Thick golden syrup, last time i made this it was a touch too crumbly.

The first lol i figure it don't matter as long as you stick to the same one.
