Berlusconi surviving the no-confidence motion felt like a slap on my face. After TIME announced its Person of the Year I wanted to enact one on somebody's.
Life these days is like the Rub' al-Khali - the days have become so literally empty that I can now make time for meaningful activities such as learning to sing Amy Winehouse's Tears Dry on Their Own to Ain't No Mountain High Enough playing in the background. (According to Wikipedia the former is based on the an interpolation of the latter.) Today I put an end to all this drivelling aimlessness by traipsing into the library and and reading a book on Balochi nationalism.
Life is such a losing game.
