I went for my Sports Injury Therapy (S.I.T.) assessment today and found out that my left shoulder is still seriously screwed up. It turns out that my poor lifting has been as a result of compromisation for the shoulder injury and sometimes seriously hurts. Although, the S.I.T. assessment was okay, when John (the S.I.T. Instructor) did a couple of shoulder stretchers I was in immense pain, literally frozen and not breathing because of the pain.
What does this mean? It means that I am very worried about the re-test for lifting in PCLB 108 (Patient Care-Practical Skills 1), as my lifting is apparently all back because of the inability to use my shoulder.
Maybe my department head was right? Maybe I am not ready for this career? Maybe I should drop out and try again next year? or the year after that? I don't know what to do.
In another set of events, it appears that I am no longer the Divisional Superintendent for the St. John Ambulance Community Services Unit. Dispite that fact that I have been running the division for in excess of a year now, now the Regional Community Services Coordinator has decided to bypass me as the Divisional Superintendent and go outside and post the position.
Bill (Divisional Member Services Coordinator) looked shocked when we heard this as did I. It's like all the time that I put into that division was for nothing.
I am going to put in for the position, but it seems like I'm not wanted.
